Biden’s speech made me laugh: he said the same thing twice
US President Joe Biden raised questions about “mental health” by repeatedly telling the same story in his speech at an event.
Biden, 80, America’s oldest president, drew attention for his confused appearance at a donation meeting he attended the other day in New York. Explaining that clashes with far-right extremists in Virginia gave him the enthusiasm to run for president at the time, Biden began telling the same story in the same phrases a few minutes later.
Meanwhile, the shocked looks of the people in the room caught their attention. Republican National Committee spokesman Steve Guest scoffed at those minutes, saying, “These things are really normal.”
While Biden was on stage during his meeting with Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva this week, he collided with the Brazilian flag and forgot to shake Lula’s hand.
Polls show that 77 percent of Americans believe Biden is too old to compete in next year’s presidential election.
