Israel’s new incursion into the West Bank: death toll rises
The number of Palestinians killed by Israeli forces during raids on the Jenin and Akbet Cebr refugee camps in the occupied West Bank has risen to 5.
According to the official Palestinian news agency WAFA, another person who was injured in clashes that broke out during the raid by Israeli forces on the Jenin refugee camp last night lost his life.
In the previous statement made by the Palestinian Ministry of Health, it was reported that Israeli forces killed 3 Palestinians and injured 30 Palestinians to varying degrees during the attack on the Jenin refugee camp.
According to WAFA, another Palestinian who was injured during the attack by Israeli forces on the Akbet Cebr refugee camp, located near the city of Jericho, in the eastern West Bank, also lost his life.
The Israeli army attacked the city of Jenin and the Jenin refugee camp on the night of July 3 and laid siege to the area. In the fierce air and ground attacks by Israeli forces that lasted approximately 48 hours, 12 Palestinians, including 4 children, were killed and approximately 120 people were injured, 20 of them seriously.
The infrastructure of the camp, where approximately 150,000 Palestinian refugees live, was severely damaged. (AA)
