New developments in the Arab-PKK tribal conflict in Syria
After Arab tribes met with the United States in the eastern Syrian province of Deir ez-Zor, the PKK/YPG terrorist organization withdrew from some villages it had occupied.
Deir ez-Zor is experiencing new events after the operations launched by Arab tribes against the terrorist organization PKK/YPG on August 27. The Arab tribes, who cleared 33 villages of terrorism in the provinces of Deir ez-Zor, Raqqa and Hasakah and in the Manbij districts of Aleppo in operations that lasted approximately two weeks, withdrew from these villages and sat down at the table of negotiations with the US to avoid civilian casualties. as a result of the terrorist organization’s attacks.
According to information obtained from local sources, after the negotiations, the terrorist organization PKK/YPG began to hand over some of the villages it occupied in Deir ez-Zor to the Arab tribes. The sources stated that, in accordance with the wishes of the Arabs, work has begun to establish a new military council made up of Arab tribes in the Deir ez-Zor countryside.
On the other hand, elements of the PKK/YPG in Deir ez-Zor will continue their presence alongside American elements in the east of the province, with an alleged headquarters in the center of Hajin and in the Ömer oil field. (AA)
