Russia announced: We destroyed the Turkish-made T-122 Sakarya

It was announced that Russia destroyed the T-122 Sakarya multi-barrel rocket launcher system, purchased by Ukraine from Turkey.

The statement made by the Russian Ministry of Defense via Telegram said: “In the last 24 hours, a T-122 Sakarya produced in Turkey was destroyed in the Kupyansk region.” The official Russian news agency TASS announced that the T-122 Sakarya has an adequate navigation system and highlighted that the range of the missiles can reach 40 kilometers.

Ukraine purchased this missile system from Turkey in November 2022. In the statement made by Russia, “In the last 24 hours, 25 Ukrainian soldiers, 3 vehicles and 2 American-made M777 missile systems were destroyed in the Kupyansk region. “French-made TRF1 and D-20 howitzers, Gvozdika and a Turkish-made T-122 Sakarya rocket launcher system were also destroyed in the same direction.”

Russian officials also stated that 255 of their soldiers were killed in the Donetsk region of Ukraine over the past day.

THEY ACCUSED TURKEY IN MAY

In May, Moscow claimed that the Ukrainian military launched an attack on the town of Yasinovataya in the Russian-occupied Donetsk region with a Turkish-made T-122 Sakarya.

In the statement issued at the time, it was said: “The remains of the T-122 sent by Turkey and coming from Sakarya were found in the region.”
