Chicken meat production increased in July

The Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) announced poultry production for July 2023.

Thus, in July, compared to the same month of the previous year, chicken egg production increased by 7.4 percent, chicken meat production increased by 3.3 percent and the number of chickens slaughtered increased by 1.1 percent, while turkey meat production decreased by 11.4 percent.

While the production of chicken eggs increased 4.2 percent in the January-July period compared to the same period of the previous year; Chicken meat production decreased by 4.3 percent, the number of chickens slaughtered decreased by 7.5 percent, and turkey meat production decreased by 8.7 percent.

10.8 PERCENT INCREASE IN CHICKEN MEAT PRODUCTION

Chicken meat production, which was 175,900 tons the previous month, increased by 10.8 percent in July and reached 194,912 tons.

The production of chicken eggs, which the previous month was 1,000 million 584 million 895 thousand units, increased by 6.2 percent in July and reached 1,000 million 682 million 907 thousand units.
