Threatening emails were sent to several schools in England.
In a statement, the Manchester Police Department said: “We have received reports that threatening emails have been sent to schools throughout the city of Manchester. “These reports are still being investigated to ensure the safety of schools and local communities.”

Manchester Police Chief Inspector Chris Boyd said: “We take reports of this nature very seriously and although we have not advised any school closures, our officers will increase their presence around schools at the end of the day. today to provide peace of mind to schools and the general public.”
The statement made by Cheshire Police claimed that students and education staff were threatened in the emails and said: “The police have been informed of an email sent to some schools containing threats against students and “An investigation has been launched into the matter and police officers are going to schools to provide assurances.”
