Attempted terrorist attack with bomb-carrying dog

The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry announced that Armenian forces illegally present in Karabakh attempted a provocation against Azerbaijani soldiers with a bomb-carrying dog.

An attempt was made to carry out a terrorist attack against Azerbaijani soldiers on duty in Khojavend province, using a dog with a remotely controlled homemade bomb.

The dog carrying the bomb was captured by Azerbaijani soldiers and the device was reportedly neutralized.

“AN IMMORAL ACTION”

In Azerbaijan’s statement, “We strongly condemn this action, which is contrary to the protocol of the Convention on the Prohibition or Restriction of the Use of Certain Conventional Weapons on prohibitions or restrictions on the use of mines, booby traps and other devices. “The use of animals for murder purposes is an immoral act and we consider it an act of terrorism.”

Illegal Armenian forces in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan, where Russian forces are temporarily deployed, have reportedly increased their excavation and fortification activities in recent days. (AA)
