Prime Minister whose plane broke down was stranded in India
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was stranded in India, where he went for the G20 summit, due to a technical failure on his plane.
Trudeau, who was preparing to go to the airport after the G20 Summit, returned when he received a warning that the plane had a technical fault. The statement from the Canadian Prime Minister’s Office states that Trudeau and his delegation received a warning from the Canadian Armed Forces.
“These issues cannot be resolved overnight; our delegation will remain in India until alternative arrangements are reached,” the statement said.
TENSION AT THE MODI-TRUDEAU MEETING
Meanwhile, according to the Indian press, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Trudeau experienced tensions during their meeting within the framework of the G20 Summit held in New Delhi.
Modi told Trudeau that he was “gravely concerned about the actions of anti-India extremists in Canada.” Modi complained to his Canadian counterpart and claimed that anti-India actions in Canada “foster separatism and incite violence against Indian diplomats.”
