Notes from Russia to Armenia

In a written statement from the Russian Foreign Ministry, it was claimed that Armenian “political elites” have recently questioned relations with Russia both bilaterally and before the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSO).

Noting that Armenia also questions the validity of the trilateral agreements reached with Russia for the normalization of relations with Azerbaijan, the following statements were included:

“In this context, the Armenian administration started the process of ratifying the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court (ICC), the wife of the Prime Minister of Armenia, Anna Akobyan, went to Kiev to deliver humanitarian aid to the Nazi regime in Kiev. and with the participation of the USA, on the territory of Armenia, which in recent days has adopted a series of hostile measures in connection with the organization of military exercises”.

“INVATIVE DECLARATIONS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE”

The statement states that Vagharshak Harutyunyan, the Armenian ambassador to Moscow, was summoned to the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the aforementioned reasons.

“They gave him a tough presentation and handed him a protest note. The note pointed out the inadmissibility of the insulting statements of the speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia, Alen Simonyan, on September 6 against the spokesperson of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, and the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs as a whole. .

The statement stressed that Moscow “took for granted” that Russia and Armenia would remain allies and that bilateral agreements would be fully implemented. (AA)
