‘Russian spy’ alarm in Germany! The accusation appeared
The indictment prepared by the German Federal Prosecutor General’s Office alleges that Carsten L. and Arthur E. shared intelligence documents on state secrets with agents of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB). The FSB allegedly paid Carsten L. €450,000 for his services and at least €400,000 to Arthur E.
It was recorded that Carsten L. and Arthur E. met with a Russian who contacted the FSB in September last year, after which Arthur E. traveled to Moscow many times. It is claimed that Carsten L. handed over a total of nine documents from the BND’s internal data processing systems and handed them over to Arthur E. and passed them on to FSB agents in Moscow.
Carsten L. has been detained since December 2022 and Arthur E. since January.
