Special breed bull sold for record price
As reported by ABC News, the bull named “Born Ready Shady” sold for $150,000 at an auction held in the city of Kempsey and became the world record holder among its breed.
The bull’s owner, Brooke Paff, claimed she was in shock at the incident, saying: “It was a very special moment, that’s for sure.”
Regarding the Speckle Park breed, Paff stated that this breed has become increasingly white over time, so all-black bulls like “Born Ready Shady” have become very valuable.
“Born Ready Shady,” the first bull Paff sold, also set a record with an initial deposit of $6,000 for the pre-sale animal.
Ivery Downs Speckle Park Farm purchased the 2,000-pound bull.
Mark Constable, who organized the auction, said the bull’s price surprised everyone, but while meat and muscle mass were high compared to average, the fact that he wasn’t overweight made the animal special.
The bull named “Six Star Southern Aurora Justice R10,” belonging to the same breed, which held the world record before the bull named “Born Ready Shady,” sold for $50,000 in May 2022. (AA)
