Scandalous event: They pierced the Great Wall of China

China talks about the damage to the kilometer-long Great Wall it built against different groups in ancient times.

Roadworks in the Shanxi region revealed extensive damage to a section of the century-old wall. Workers were said to have drilled holes in the wall using bulldozers to make a shortcut to make the job easier.

It was shocking when the workers demolished the historical monument for the construction of the road.

Police announced that two people, one of whom was a woman, have been detained and an investigation has been launched into the incident. The authorities reported that a significant part of the wall was demolished to allow the bulldozer to pass, and the damage was irreversible.

On the UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE LIST

The destroyed part of the wall, once the world’s largest military structure, is a historical monument under state protection.

BC. The news that a part of the Great Wall of China, which began to be built in the year 220 and continued until the 17th century, was destroyed, caused a sensation in the world. The Great Wall of China has been on the UNESCO World Heritage list since 1987.

The wall had suffered various damage in previous years, and in a 2016 report it was reported that more than 30 percent of the part of the Great Wall of China, known as the Ming Wall, had been demolished.
