Tensions rise in Syria… US planes bombed

US warplanes carried out airstrikes against Iranian-backed groups in Deir ez-Zor province in eastern Syria, the scene of the PKK/YPG terror organization’s conflict with Arab tribes.

According to information received from local sources, Iranian-backed groups gathered in and around the bridge known as Jisr Hasebi, which stretches from Elbukemal to the Euphrates River in eastern Deir ez-Zor. According to the opposition observatory, US warplanes attacked two military vehicles.

It was learned that there were dead and wounded in the vehicles, and that the ammunition that was in the vehicles exploded.

Iranian and foreign Iranian-backed groups are known to be located in the districts of Elbukemal, Muhsan and al-Mayadin, east of Deir ez-Zor. The central and western province of Deir ez-Zor fell into the hands of the Assad regime following the withdrawal of the ISIS terror organization in November 2017, with the help of groups backed by Iran and Russia.
