The latest video of Yevgeniy Prigojin, the leader of the Wagner mercenary group, who lost his life in the crash of his plane two months after the anti-government uprising in Russia, has been released.
The footage was claimed to have been taken in Africa a few days before the death of the Wagner leader, when his plane crashed in Russia with other leaders of the group. In the video posted on Wagner’s Telegram channel, Prigojin talks about rumors about his health and threats to his safety.
Prigojin, who is in a moving vehicle and wearing a camouflage suit in the video, said: “For those who are debating whether or not I am alive, how am I doing. I am currently in Africa on the weekend of the second half of August 2023,” he says. “For people who want to eliminate me, talk about my private life, the money I earn or anything else, everything is fine,” he says. It was noted that the video may have been taken 3-4 days before Prigokhin’s plane crashed north of Moscow on August 23. The Kremlin has denied accusations that Russia killed Wagner leaders to avenge the June uprising.
