UK: Russia fights to destroy attack drones

The British Ministry of Defense intelligence report states that Ukraine carried out 25 separate drone strikes against Russia during August, with most of these strikes hitting the target.

“Russian air defense is having difficulty detecting and destroying them,” the report says.

In the intelligence report of the British Ministry of Defense it was reported that on the night of August 29-30 Ukraine carried out 5 different drone attacks against Russia and explosions occurred in the Moscow, Bryansk, Ryazan regions and in the Pskov air zone. Base located near the border with Estonia as a result of the attacks. “The attack on Pskov likely damaged several Russian military transport aircraft,” the report says. During August 2023, Russia has almost certainly been the target of 25 separate drone strikes.

“Many of these UAVs have hit their targets, which probably means that Russian air defense is having a hard time detecting and destroying them,” the report says. Russia is probably reconsidering its air defense position in the region between Ukraine and Moscow to better deal with these attacks. Earlier attacks on Russian military airbases had caused Russian planes to scatter to different points in Russia. However, the recent attacks on Soltsy and Pskov have shown that UAVs have significant range. (DHA)
