US rush hours: entrances and exits are closed
In a statement made on the university’s social media account, it was claimed that police had taken action in search of an “armed and dangerous person on or near campus.”
The statement noted that the suspect could not be found and the danger continued, so the students were asked to take the necessary precautions in a sheltered manner.
ENTRANCE EXITS CLOSED
It was claimed that while the entrances and exits of the university remained closed, the police continued to search for the gunman, both by land and by helicopter.
North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper reported on the X social media platform that all means have been mobilized to apprehend the suspect and that the events will be shared with the public.
As we enter the second week of the new academic year, the University of North Carolina has 4,000 faculty, 9,000 employees, and 32,000 students. (AA)
