New claim about the death of Prigojin: They reminded me of the detail of the severed finger
A new claim has emerged about Yevgeniy Prigojin, the founder and leader of the Russian mercenary group Wagner, one of 10 people who lost their lives as a result of a private jet crash in Russia’s Tver region the day before.
On some Telegram channels known to be close to Wagner, it was claimed that the plane was shot down by the defense systems of the Russian army.
Prigokhin, with his mercenary warriors, launched an armed rebellion against the Russian government on June 24. The uprising ended with the intervention of the Belarusian president, Alexander Lukashenko.
While there was a lot of speculation about the death of Prigojin, who was silent after that period, a new information came through social media.
In the message shared by the Russian Telegram account VChK-OGPU, it was indicated that the lifeless bodies of Prigojin and his co-founder Dimitry Utkin were identified. “A senior Wagner commander identified the bodies of the deceased,” the statement said. He recognized Prigojin by his severed finger and Utkin by his tattoos.
Prigojin had injured his left hand in recent years and had a finger amputated.
