Meadows, former Trump chief of staff, surrenders
Former White House staffer Mark Meadows completed his custody process by arriving at the Fulton County Supreme Court in Georgia this afternoon, according to prison records. Meadows agreed to post $100,000 bail before surrendering.
The lawsuit says Meadows was accused of participating in a meeting between Trump and Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, in which Trump urged Raffensperger to help him “find” enough votes for him.
WHAT HAPPENED?
In the interview recording, Trump, who argued that the elections were rigged and that he won the election in Georgia, one of the critical states, said: “This is all I want; I want to get 11,780 votes, which is more than we got because we won the state.” His words caught my attention.
Donald Trump, who was tried in the same suit, agreed to post $200,000 bail Monday, and attorney Rudy Giuliani, who turned himself in yesterday, agreed to post $150,000 bail Wednesday.
Trump is expected to surrender later, as Fulton District Attorney Fani Willis’s term for the 19 people charged in the case expires Friday. (AA)
