Artificial intelligence will be used in exams in Belgium

EpiCURA, a private hospital in the city of Ath, in the French-speaking Wallonia region of Belgium, aims to use artificial intelligence for the examination of ENT patients by the end of 2023.

The project, which will be funded by the Government of the Walloon Region, will use technology from the Belgian software company Bingli.

According to the designers of the project in statements to the local media, the answers to the questions of the artificial intelligence before the consultation will save time for the patient and the doctor and will allow doctors to interact directly with their patients during examinations.

Working like a real doctor call, the AI will ask the patient 70 to 100 percent of the doctor’s questions before the face-to-face visit. This will make the visits more efficient and will greatly help in the diagnosis. (AA)
