Espionage crisis between China and the US! confessed

There is a new espionage crisis between China and the United States. In a statement made on the social media account of the Ministry of State Security in charge of Intelligence, it was assured that the 39-year-old official, whose last name was indicated as “Hao”, was “hired” by the CIA while he was studying in Japan. .

The statement noted that the official, who did not specify in which ministry he worked, was arrested after noticing the espionage activity, and the investigation against him continues.

INVITATION TO FOOD AND GIFTS

In the statement, Hao was said to have met with a US official named “Ted” at the US Embassy in Tokyo, where he went to apply for a visa while he was a student in Japan, explaining that the officer “established a close relationship with Hao through dinner invitations and gifts” and “asked him to write articles for money.”

In the statement, Ted then introduced Hao to his colleague “Li Cün”, who is understood to be of Chinese descent. It has been suggested that she recommends and encourages him to “work in China’s key institutions”.

SIGNED CONTRACT

The statement said Hao approved the offer and “signed an espionage contract” with the United States, agreeing to undergo examinations and training, and that the suspect, who began working at the anonymous ministry upon his return to China, he met with CIA personnel many times to pass on information and receive espionage fees.

The Ministry of State Security detained the 52-year-old employee of the state-owned arms company on August 10 on suspicion of espionage, and it is said that the suspect began working for the CIA while studying in Italy.

SIGNIFICANT AND COMPLEX

Notably, the ministry’s newly created social media account took direct aim at the CIA in its posts about both cases.

The ministry, in a post on August 1, stated that spying activities in the country were “in a serious and complex situation” and called on citizens to support counter-espionage activities.

REBUILD THE SPY NETWORK

CIA Director William Burns, in his speech at the Aspen Security Forum in his country last month, claimed that the CIA “has made progress in re-establishing its spy network in China” after the heavy losses it suffered 10 years ago.

The Beijing administration reacted to the statement by stating that it would “take all kinds of countermeasures to protect national security.” (AA)
