Sweden takes action against provocations against the Holy Quran

Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson, coalition partners Christian Democratic Party Chairman Ebba Busch and Liberal Party Chairman Johan Pehrson wrote an article on the subject in the newspaper.

In the article, which stated that the Public Order Act was beginning to be considered without changing the Swedish Constitution, it was noted that the police should consider “the security of the country” when considering requests for public meetings and demonstrations.

The article noted that the government will also investigate to what extent these rules can be changed.

The newspaper wrote that the government launched the investigation to prevent increasing attacks on the Quran.

At the press conference on the subject, Justice Minister Gunnar Strömmer said that the Chairman of the Crime Prevention Council, Mattias Larsson, will review and report on the Law on Public Order and that he will be able to present his report no later than 1 July 2024. (BRITISH AUTOMOBILE CLUB)
