Elon Musk’s support for the US presidential candidate
Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has said that Vivek Ramaswamy, a US presidential candidate who criticized him for his June visit to China, is a “promising candidate.”
Musk shared about Ramaswamy, the Republican candidate for the 2024 US presidential election, from the social media platform X, which he owned, formerly Twitter. Citing Ramaswamy’s videos, Musk noted that he is a “promising candidate” and “expresses his thoughts clearly.”
Notably, Ramaswamy made “troubling” comments about Musk’s visit to China in June. “I’m breaking an unspoken rule of the Republican Party, but I’ll tell you what I see.” Ramaswamy said: “It is extremely concerning that Elon Musk has met with the Chinese foreign minister and has spoken of the United States and communist China as ‘conjoined twins.'” he had used the words.
Ramaswamy also said, “In October, Elon made an unexpected call for the ‘reunification’ of Taiwan and received a tax exemption from Shanghai days later.” He commented that “China’s use of leading businessmen for its own agenda poses a risk to the United States.” (AA)
