Attack on churches in Pakistan: the number of arrests exceeded 600
The investigation continues into the events that took place after a Christian claimed that he did not respect the Koran in the city of Jaranvala, in the Faisalabad region of Pakistan.

REACTION OF THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS
In a written statement, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mumtaz Zehra Beluç pointed out that what happened was illegal and unconstitutional, stressing that Pakistan could not accept such acts of violence.
Noting that religious minorities are equal citizens of the country, Baluç noted that Islamabad is fully committed to protecting the constitutionally guaranteed rights and freedoms of minorities to promote social cohesion, tolerance and mutual respect.
STRONG WARNING TO MINORITIES
More than 6,000 security forces were deployed in the regions where the incidents occurred to ensure public order. Authorities indicated that there were no casualties or injuries in the incidents.
In a statement on his social media account, the Prime Minister of the interim government, Anvarul Hak Kakar, condemned the events and stated that tough action would be taken against those who violate the law and target minorities. (AA)
