Alert drone loaded with explosives on the Jordanian-Syrian border
The Jordanian army announced that it shot down an explosives-laden unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), which was determined to have come from Syria.
In the statement posted on the official website of the Jordanian army, it was stated that border guard units and Anti-Narcotics Crime units detected a UAV attempting to cross from Syria into Jordanian territory.
The statement indicated that said UAV was shot down in Jordanian territory, and that the UAV was loaded with explosives and was being examined by the relevant units.
The Jordanian army announced in June that it had shot down three UAVs, one of which was loaded with weapons, trying to cross from Syria into Jordan.
Stating that he had shot down a drug-laden UAV determined to have come from southern Syria in July, Jordan recently reported that a drug-laden UAV from Syria had been shot down on August 13. (AA)
