Hawaii is hell, the death toll is rising
Hawaii Governor Josh Green issued a statement regarding the ongoing wildfires on the Big Island and the Island of Maui. Green, who said the number of people who have lost their lives in the fires has risen to 99, said the death toll is expected to rise.
Green stated that during the search and rescue teams’ ongoing work in the region, “they may find around 10 to 20 bodies a day” and that it can take up to 10 days to determine the total death toll. Green stated that 1,300 people, whose location could not be determined due to the fires, are still being searched by teams, and that search efforts have been completed in 25 percent of the total area affected by the fires.
Green claimed that nearly the entire town of Lahaina, home to 12,000 people, burned down, saying, “There’s nothing left to see here except destruction and destruction.” saying. “People who come to Lahaina because they want to witness the destruction should know that they are probably walking on the bones of the deceased,” Green said. he said.
Green noted that some 2,000 residences, including 402 hotel rooms, have been prepared for people who have lost their homes.

Local officials on the island of Maui stated that although about 85 percent of the fires are under control, they are still raging and how the fires started cannot yet be confirmed.
Fire Chief Lori Moore-Merrell said in a statement that the death toll in Hawaii surpassed the 2018 California fires that killed 85 people. “The fires in Hawaii have been the deadliest wildfires in the United States in the last 100 years,” said Ella Moore-Merrell. he said.
