Zelensky: 174 thousand square kilometers of the country are under threat of mines
In his address to the nation, Ukrainian President Zelenskiy, who called for allied support for demining teams, made some remarks.
Zelenskiy said that his country is under great threat due to the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine.
“Ukraine needs the equipment of its partners, and it is very important to create a production base in Ukraine so that we can clear our land of Russian mines. This task must be completed in years, not decades. To date, a total of 174,000 square kilometers of our country are in potential danger from mines and unexploded explosive devices. “Our experts detect hundreds of explosives every day,” he said.
“The more demining machines we have, the more specialized drones we have for demining, the more actively we can restore security,” Zelenskiy said. We are grateful to all the countries that have helped us,” he said.
