When the taxi driver did not take it, the taxi rang.
A notable incident took place in the city of Sussex, located in the south-east of England.
At the airport, a passenger named Mohammed Ahmed stole another taxi after one refused to pick him up.
Sussex Police have released video of Ahmed’s incident at Gatwick Airport in September 2022.
Mohammed Ahmed, 24, led police on a quick chase after he hailed a taxi from outside the South Terminal.
During the escape, Ahmed’s speed of 209 km per hour was followed by the police helicopter from the air.
Ahmed was eventually arrested after walking into a dead end 241 kilometers away.
Ahmed, who was sent to court for theft and dangerous driving offenses after the investigation, received a 14-month suspended sentence.
Banned from driving for 18 months, Ahmed was ordered to work 150 hours of unpaid public service and pay the taxi driver £841 in compensation.
