Cabinet change in TRNC: 4 new appointed ministers

TRNC Prime Minister Ünal Üstel held a press conference after presenting the new list of the Council of Ministers to President Ersin Tatar.

Noting that Agriculture and Natural Resources Minister Dursun Oğuz has been appointed to the Interior Ministry, Üstel said that Sergeant Hüseyin has been taken over to the position vacated by Oğuz.

Ustal stated that Özdemir Berova will serve as Finance Minister, Hakan Dinçyürek as Health Minister, and Sadık Gardiyanoğlu as Labor and Social Security Minister.

Ziya Öztürkler, Minister of the Interior, Minister of Finance Alişan Şan, Minister of Health İzm Gürçağ Altuğra, Minister of Labor and Social Security Hasan Taçoy, who were in the previous Council of Ministers, were left out of the cabinet.

The coalition government of the National Unity Party (UBP), the Democratic Party (DP) and the Renaissance Party (YDP) led by Prime Minister Ünal Üstel was established on May 12, 2022.

After the resignation of Sunat Atun, who was the Minister of Finance in the first cabinet, on July 27, 2022, Alişan Şan was appointed to the vacant position.

UBP 8, DP 1 and YDP 1, which form the ruling coalition in the TRNC, have 1 ministry. (AA)
