Thieves tried to rob ATM with forklift
In the city of Sacramento, United States, two thieves used a forklift to steal the ATM, which was reflected on the security camera.
Police announced that one of the robbers dropped the ATM from the truck’s safe while escaping and fled before he could take the machine.
“Two suspects staged the robbery of a Safe Credit Union ATM on Watt Avenue in North Sacramento at about 6:15 am on Wednesday, August 2, 2023. One person was driving a forklift, while the other was driving a white pickup truck. The suspect, who was using the forklift, loaded the machine into the bed of the pickup after tipping the ATM off the bed.
Police said in a statement: “The second suspect drove away with the ATM, but during the getaway, the ATM fell from the truck in the middle of Watt Avenue, causing a traffic accident. Both suspects fled the scene and their identities or locations have not yet been determined.
