Thus, the court approved the recreation of Biden’s regulation on the registration of “ghost weapons.”

On July 27, the Biden administration asked the US Supreme Court to reinstate the regulation, which is defined as “ghost weapons” and is intended to prevent the spread of custom-built firearms that law enforcement forces order have difficulty tracing, after the lower court struck it down. .

The US Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) updated its regulations in 2022 to define such weapons as firearms to facilitate government tracking.

Accordingly, to track “ghost guns” that are not locked for sale, they must be serial numbered and registered.
