Adopted at the United Nations: The decision of the holy book…
After the attacks on the Koran in Denmark and Sweden, the UN took action.
The United Nations Security Council unanimously adopted the draft resolution submitted by Morocco, which recognizes all kinds of violence against people because of their religious beliefs, holy books and religious sites as a violation of international law.
In the resolution, all acts of violence against people because of their religion or belief, as well as acts of violence against people’s religious symbols, holy books, homes, workplaces, property, schools, cultural centers and places of worship, were labeled as violations of international law and strongly condemned.

Far-right Danish politician Rasmus Paludan continued his provocations to burn the Holy Quran in Sweden’s Malmö, Norköpin, Jönköping and the capital Stockholm during the 2022 Easter holidays.
The protesters, who wanted to arrest Paludan, attacked the police with stones burning tires on the roads. 104 police officers and 14 protesters were injured in the incidents, and 20 police vehicles were destroyed by fire.
In the Swedish capital Stockholm on January 21, Paludan burned the Koran in front of the Turkish Embassy in Stockholm. No one was allowed near Paludan during the action, which took place under the protection of the packed police.
