Meeting “Karabakh” between Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia

The trilateral meeting held at the Russian Foreign Ministry building was attended by Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Ceyhun Bayramov, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

In his speech at the beginning of the meeting, Lavrov claimed that he met both ministers separately and stated that they would continue the meeting as a trio.

Expressing that they will discuss the Karabakh issue and the normalization of relations between Baku and Yerevan, Lavrov noted that Moscow is in favor of respecting and implementing all tripartite agreements between the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia.

“WE ARE READY TO HELP IN ANY WAY”

Noting that Russia is interested in stabilizing the South Caucasus, Lavrov said: “Today, I would like to invite you to exchange ideas on where the peace agreement negotiation process between Azerbaijan and Armenia stands at the moment. Using our expert potential and good relationships with the friends represented here, we stand ready to help in any way possible to reach an agreement.” he used his statements.

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Bayramov also stated that the negotiation dynamics regarding the resolution of the Azerbaijan-Armenian conflict is quite high, saying: “To be frank, the results of the negotiation process are inferior to the dynamics of the negotiation process. However, it would be a mistake to say that there are no positive results with all this. he said.

Armenian Minister Mirzoyan also pointed out that the agenda is quite intense and noted that there are concrete results on some issues and some perspectives on which the parties can reach mutual agreement on some issues.

“But, of course, problematic issues remain, where the positions of the parties are still far from each other. We have a constructive attitude, we negotiate on all platforms, in all directions”. saying.

Blaming Azerbaijan for the Lachin Corridor, Mirzoyan stated that this issue complicates the negotiation process. The meeting remained closed to the press.
