Attacks on the Koran continue in Denmark

Members of the anti-Islamic and ultranationalist group “Danske Patrioter (Danish Patriots)” in Denmark burned the Koran today in front of the Embassy of Egypt and then of Turkey in Copenhagen.

The group announced on social media that they would burn the Koran in front of the Egyptian embassy.

Members of the group arrived in front of the Turkish Embassy in Copenhagen and burned the Koran. Members of the group, who also opened an anti-Islamic banner, placed shoes and a toy pig on top of the Koran before burning it. The provocations were carried out under heavy police security.

The group that burned the Quran in front of the Iraqi embassy in Copenhagen on July 22 burned the Quran in front of the Iranian and Iraqi embassies on July 24, respectively.

The group had previously insulted Islam by attacking the Turkish flag and Quran in front of the Turkish Embassy in Copenhagen.

Denmark made statements stating that it condemned the burning of the Holy Quran on July 22 and 24.

According to Swedish state television SVT news, the 31-year-old man, who asked the police for permission to burn the Koran in front of the Iranian embassy in Stockholm, withdrew from this request.
