Terrifying incident: girl thrown into the water disappears
According to a video that went viral on Instagram and was highly commented on by users, Katya İleri, who lives in Turkey, was on a boat with her family when her little girl decided to swim.
Wearing blue and yellow inflatable handcuffs, the girl was held over the railing of the boat by a man believed to be from the family.
Then the man lifted the boy to the edge of the boat and threw him into the water. However, when the girl dove into the water, her bracelets immediately came loose and the boy remained above the water while she made her way to the bottom of the water.
The recording of the two bracelets left on the surface was the last image seen before the video ended, and it was not seen on the video whether the girl was able to surface.
MOTHER EXPLAINED
The concerns of horrified onlookers were allayed when her mother later revealed that her daughter was fine.
In a follow-up video, Forward assured her followers that the girl managed to reappear shortly after the video ended and claimed that her daughter’s bracelets slipped off because she was applying sunscreen.
She added that her daughter lives by the sea, is constantly in the water and is watched by her father, who is already swimming in the sea.
But horrified viewers of the video made comments accusing the parents of negligence, emphasizing that armbands commonly used by children and unsafe swimmers are unreliable in preventing accidents in the water.
