Lukashenko: Wagnerists want to visit Warsaw

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko claimed that mercenaries belonging to the Russian private security company Wagner, stationed in his country, want to go west, saying: “The Wagnerites have started to stress us, they want to go west. They say: ‘We are going to take a trip to Warsaw and Rzeszow,'” he said.

Noting that the Ukrainian army lost a large number of soldiers during the meeting, Lukashenko said: “According to US estimates, Ukraine has lost 26,000 soldiers since the counterattack.”

Commenting on the Wagner fighters stationed in his country, Lukashenko said: “The Wagnerites have started to stress us out, they want to go west. They say: ‘Let’s take a trip to Warsaw and Rzeszow.’ “I keep them in central Belarus as agreed,” he said.

Stressing that Ukraine’s troop loss in the counterattack is more than 26,000, Putin said: “There was a counterattack, but it failed.” (AA)
