Addicted to the world famous Football Manager, the man broke the record: he played for 528 years
After being released as Championship Manager in 1992, the computer game that created a fan base for years with its new version and was renamed Football Manager some time ago, was on the agenda of the international public. The reason for this is that a man living in Poland broke the record by playing this game for hours like an addict.
The game-addicted man broke the record when he got carried away.
Pawel Sicinski from Poland, who sat down at the computer to play Football Manager in January 2018, continued to play relentlessly during this time. The man who played this game for 453 days and 15 hours earned the right to enter the Guinness Book of Records.
Saying he’s been playing this game for many hours, Sicinski’s data is the kind of data that will turn many a football coach to stone. Having coached for 528 years and 137 days during the game, Sicinski played a total of 25,084 games.
WIN 301 LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIPS
Achieving a 73 percent win rate in his matches, this rate for Sicinski was reminiscent of Pep Guardiola’s 73.6% win rate at Manchester City. “My greatest achievements are leading the team to 301 league titles and 677 cup titles,” said Sicinski, who managed Icelandic team Filmeikafélag Hafnarfjarðar from 2114-2434. The youngster said he also lifted the Champions League, Europa League and World Cup with his team.
On the other hand, Sicinski’s achievements are not just limited to the pitch, Sicinski, who spoke to Guinness Book of Records officials, said: “My team has a 140,000-capacity stadium and there is a lot of money in their safe to buy top players.”
Before Sicinski, the player who played this game for the longest time without a break was the German Sepp Hedel… Hedel played this game for 81 days and 20 hours. Based on the year of the game, this figure was recorded as 333 years.
The football club led by Sicinski is known as the team from the capital Reykjavik, where 122,000 people live.
