Putin: Any attack on Belarus is considered an attack on Russia
Russian President Vladimir Putin accused Poland of having ambitions on the territory of the former Soviet Union and said any attack on Russia’s neighbor and close ally Belarus would be seen as an act against Russia.
In his statement at the Security Council meeting, Putin said that Moscow will respond “by any means at its disposal” to any attack on Belarus.
According to the news from Poland’s PAP news agency, Poland announced that Russian mercenaries would shift their troops from west to east due to the possible threat posed by the presence of the Wagner group in Belarus.
The Belarusian Defense Ministry said yesterday that mercenaries belonging to the Wagner group began training Belarusian special forces near the border with NATO member Poland.
