‘Cut finger’ shocks Macron
French President Emmanuel Macron is appalled by the box sent to his residence following protests that brought the country to its feet.
According to the news in the French magazine Valeurs actuelles, a box containing a severed human finger was sent to Macron’s official residence. Speaking to the right-wing magazine, a security source said the box sent to the Elysee Palace was cause for concern.
It was reported that the package sent before Bastille Day, which will be celebrated tomorrow in France, was examined by the police. A person who sent the box was reportedly identified and questioned.
While Macron’s office did not comment on the incident, no information was provided on the cause of the situation.
The French leader has recently been the target of reactions by the law to raise the retirement age and the massive protests that broke out after the murder at the hands of the police of Nahel, 17 years old and of Algerian descent.
