Worrying statement: They launched ballistic missiles again
In the South Korean General Staff statement, it was recorded that North Korea launched a “long-range ballistic missile” in the direction of the Sea of Japan at around 10:00 a.m. local time from the capital Pyongyang.
In the statement, it was emphasized that the South Korean military strengthened our monitoring and surveillance and maintains a state of full readiness in close cooperation with the United States.
The Japan Coast Guard also confirmed that North Korea has conducted a ballistic missile test.
The Japanese Defense Ministry announced that the missile fell at 11:13 a.m. local time, 250 kilometers from the northern island of Hokkaido and outside the Japanese exclusive economic zone.
The ministry stated that the missile, which it describes as “intercontinental ballistic”, reached an altitude of 6,000 kilometers and traveled 1,000 kilometers in the air.
It was noted that the possible damage to the air and maritime elements that navigate in the region where the missile fell will be determined.
Matsuno Hirokazu, Japan’s chief cabinet secretary, condemned the missile test, saying “launching ballistic missiles is a threat to the peace and security of the region.”
During the week, Kim Yo-jong, the sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, claimed that the US Air Force violated her country’s airspace during reconnaissance flights.
Kim Yo-Jong said, “If the United States continues to commit illegal acts, you will have an unforgettable flight experience.” Notably, the experiment occurred after this statement. (AA)
