Another migrant disaster in Tunisia

Fevzi al-Mesmudi, spokesman for the Safaks Court of First Instance in Tunisia, told Anadolu Agency (AA) that a boat carrying 22 irregular migrants sank off the coast of the city of Safaks on Saturday night.

Noting that as a result of the search and rescue efforts, 11 people were rescued and the lifeless body of one person was found, Mesmudi said: “According to the testimonies of the rescued migrants, 10 migrants are missing.” saying.

Noting that the search and rescue work continues with the contribution of teams from the National Guard and the Navy, Mesmudi pointed out that the rescued immigrants were referred to the Prosecutor’s Office after their statements were taken.
