Two people executed in Iran
The death sentence for 2 people was carried out on the grounds that they were the perpetrators of the attack on the Shah Cerag Shrine in Shiraz, Iran, in which 13 people lost their lives.
According to Iran’s semi-official Tesnim news agency, the execution took place this morning on 9th Avenue in Shiraz.
Iran’s Supreme Court announced on May 24 that Mohammed Ramiz Rashid and Naim Hashemi have been sentenced to death. The Court of Cassation ruled that the crimes of “rebelling against God, waging war against the state, and wreaking havoc on earth,” which was the reason for Rashidi and Hashemi’s death sentence under Iranian Criminal Law, were deemed fixed. .
In the armed attack on Shah Cheragh’s tomb in Shiraz on October 26, 2022, 13 people lost their lives and 30 were injured. The terrorist organization ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack. (AA)
