Recorded as the hottest day

According to data announced by the University of Maine in the US, with the global increase in recent days, global temperatures broke records 3 times in a row in the same week.

July 6 was the “hottest day on record”, with the global average temperature reaching 17.23 degrees Celsius. Thus, the global temperature average registered yesterday exceeded the highest average of 17.18 degrees measured on July 4 and 5.

Based on the data set that was averaged, the weekly average air temperature in Antarctica was recorded to be 4.5 degrees above normal.

However, the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) stated that it could not confirm the climate analysis data collected by the University of Maine using computer simulation.

“While we as NOAA cannot confirm the University of Maine’s methodology or results, we are experiencing a hot period due to climate change,” the statement said. Previously, the highest average temperature was measured at 16.9 degrees in 2016. (BRITISH AUTOMOBILE CLUB)
