Three killed in airstrike on Lviv
Three people were killed in an air raid on an apartment complex in Lviv, the regional governor said. The Russian attack near the town on the Polish border also damaged sixty apartments and fifty cars. Regional governor Maksim Kozitski released a 13-second video showing a four-story apartment building with parts of the upper floors missing or in disrepair.
Zelensky: I wanted to start the offensive earlier
In an interview with the American news channel CNN, Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelensky admits that he wished he had started his counter-offensive earlier. The fact that this possibility did not exist was, according to him, due to the late delivery of weapons from the West. “As a leader of our support, I am grateful to the United States, but I told them and European leaders that we wanted to start our counter-offensive sooner and that we need all the weapons and equipment to do so.”
Fighting on the battlefield has also delayed the counteroffensive, according to the Ukrainian president. He has earlier indicated that the offensive is progressing more slowly than he wished, although he said progress was being made “in all directions”.
