Attacks on 4th of July celebrations in the US claimed lives
While 15 people, including children, have lost their lives in armed attacks in different US states so far, US President Joe Biden reiterated his call for gun law reform after the recent shootings.
The first of the shootings, which took place during the week of the July 4 Independence Day celebrations, occurred at a party in Baltimore, Maryland, on July 2. In said attack, 2 people, mostly under 18 years of age, died and 28 were injured.
Five people were killed in a July 3 shooting attack in Philadelphia. Two children ages 2 and 13 were injured in the attack.
On July 4, there was a shooting attack on festival goers in the Como neighborhood, southwest of Fort Worth, Texas. In the attack, 3 people were killed and 8 people were injured.
A 7-year-old boy was shot to death as a result of an argument between the two groups gathered in the Tampa Bay Gorge on July 4 in Florida.
3 ATTACKS OCCURRED IN ONE DAY
A 14-year-old boy was reported dead and six people were injured in a shooting that took place today at a party in the Eastern Shore area of Maryland.
Leslie Parsons, Deputy Chief of the Metropolitan Police Department (MPA), announced on Twitter today that the shooting took place on Meade Street in northeast Washington DC. The authorities indicated that 9 people, including 2 children, were injured in the armed attack.
In the attack that took place today at the street party in Shreveport, Louisiana, 3 people lost their lives and 10 people were injured, one seriously. (AA)
