In the Europol statement, it was claimed that the gang, estimated to have been active since 2017, used sophisticated technological tools to smuggle illegal immigrants, drugs and weapons into Europe.

Emphasizing that the gang works with devices such as satellite phones, GPS devices for determining location and speedboats, Europol claimed that they receive a fee ranging from 7,000 to 20,000 euros per person for illegal immigrants.
