US NATO Statement
Commenting on the extension of NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg’s term until October 1, 2024, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said: “We welcome the Alliance’s decision to extend Jens Stoltenberg’s term as NATO Secretary General “We have important work ahead of us to strengthen NATO at this critical moment in history,” he said.

On the other hand, the Ukrainian Foreign Minister, Dmytro Kuleba, also evaluated the decision as excellent news.
Kuleba shared on his social media account: “Excellent news about Jens Stoltenberg’s term extension as NATO Secretary General. Difficult times require strong leadership. Jens Stoltenberg has shown just that. I look forward to continuing our cooperation.”
NATO ANNOUNCED
NATO announced that the allies have agreed to extend Stoltenberg’s term until October 1, 2024, and that the decision will be approved by the leaders of member states at the NATO Summit to be held in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania.
