Morocco indefinitely withdraws the ambassador in Stockholm

Due to the burning of the Holy Qur’an, Morocco has summoned its ambassador to the country in Stockholm for indefinite consultations, and the Swedish charge d’affaires in Rabat at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In a written statement made by the Foreign Ministry, it was noted that the incident was strongly condemned and that the measure taken regarding the ambassadors was on the instruction of King Mohammed VI of Morocco.

The statement, which claimed the Swedish government had allowed the Holy Quran to be burned again in front of a mosque in Stockholm, described the incident as “a new irresponsible attack in which the sentiments of more than a billion Muslims were shot off the wall.” to wall”. wall, coinciding with a holy period such as the season of Hajj and Eid al-Adha”.

“Whatever the political attitudes or disagreements between countries, the Kingdom of Morocco considers this humiliation of the faith of Muslims unacceptable. In the statement, it was noted that the Swedish charge d’affaires in Rabat was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs by order of King Mohammed VI, against the provocative and repeated acts of burning the Holy Quran that took place in front of the eyes with the consent of the Swedish government, and the attack was strongly condemned and this unacceptable behavior was rejected.
