Russia: Case against Pirgojin closed, Wagner will hand over weapons
The Russian Defense Ministry announced that preparations have begun for the delivery of heavy weapons in the hands of the Wagner group to the Russian Armed Forces. “Preparations are underway for the transfer of heavy military equipment from Wagner to active units of the Russian Armed Forces,” the ministry said in a statement.
On the other hand, in Western media news, it was announced that the private jet supposedly carrying Wagnerian leader Yevgeni Prigojin landed in Minsk, the capital of Belarus.
In the statement made by the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB), it was noted that the criminal case against Prigojin was closed. Noting that the rioters gave up their “criminal” actions on June 24, the statement said: “Taking into account the situation at hand and other important conditions for the investigation process, it was decided to close the criminal case on June 27.” (AGENCIES)
