Shocking accusation from Ukraine to Israel

Ukraine accuses Israel of taking a “blatantly pro-Russian” position

The Ukrainian Embassy in Tel Aviv posted a written statement on its social media account.

The statement, which strongly criticized the attitude of the Israeli administration in the Russia-Ukraine War and took aim at Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Foreign Minister Eli Cohen, included the following statements:

“The Embassy of Ukraine in Tel Aviv regrets that the current Israeli government has chosen the path of close cooperation with the Russian Federation. This is evidenced by a highly controversial series of events that took place in the first half of 2023, coinciding with almost no humanitarian assistance from Israel.”

The statement noted that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s statements to the media about the Russia-Ukraine war “invariably were aimed at justifying Israel’s utter inaction in providing military aid to Ukraine” and that the foreign minister’s visit Israel, Cohen, to Ukraine in February “was aimed at justifying.” ineffective, ”he emphasized to himself.

In the statement, which claims that “Israeli authorities blatantly ignore moral boundaries,” included the following criticisms regarding some of Israel’s diplomatic steps to improve relations with Russia:

“The establishment of a new Russian diplomatic mission in (West) Jerusalem was agreed, including free land allocated to it, which was hailed as a ‘great achievement’ by the Israeli Foreign Ministry.

It is worth noting that several high-ranking Israeli officials who attended a diplomatic reception in (West) Jerusalem, hosted by the Russian embassy just a week ago, blatantly ignored moral boundaries. In addition, the Israeli Foreign Ministry remained silent about the anti-Semitic statements that (Russian President Vladimir) Putin and his followers regularly make.”

“ISRAEL’S LEADERSHIP HIDES BEHIND ORAL DEMAGOGY”

Claiming that the Tel Aviv administration’s claim of “impartiality” on the Russia-Ukraine war did not reflect the truth, the statement claimed that “Israeli leaders hide behind verbal demagogy about their neutrality.”

The statement continued as follows:

“Israel has not imposed any sanctions on Russia, furthermore, it has increased its bilateral trade with the bloody regime in Moscow for the past two years. As the Ukrainian population, which includes a significant Jewish community, bleeds to death under attack from Russian missiles and Iranian drones, the Israeli leadership is actively developing relations with the Russian Federation, hiding behind verbal demagogy about its neutrality (although no longer hides it). . In reality, the so-called ‘neutrality’ of the Israeli government is seen on the ground as an openly pro-Russian position.”

Calling on the Israeli government to “change its stance and support Ukraine with defensive means,” the Ukrainian embassy in Tel Aviv said in the statement: “We hope that Israel is on the right side of history!” He finished with her words. (AA)
