The Russian army shot down Wagner’s forces from the air
According to Reuters news, Russian army helicopters shot down the mercenaries from the air near the Voronezh region, which was the scene of the uprising by Wagner’s forces.
The sources reported that Wagner’s forces advancing towards Moscow on the M4 highway came under attack by Russian helicopters.
WAGNER’S FORCES ADVANCE WEST
On the other hand, it is claimed that the Wagner group has taken control of Rostov, near the Ukrainian border, and is advancing into western Russia. Images showing Wagner’s forces deployed on the streets of Rostov, which also played a significant role in the logistics of the invasion of Ukraine, are spreading on social media.
Due to the Wagner crisis in Moscow and the two regions, an “anti-terrorist operation” regime was declared. While the famous Red Square in Moscow was surrounded by metal barriers, mass events were suspended in the Rostov and Voronezh regions.
Wagner founder Yevgeny Prigojin, when accused of “treason” by President Vladimir Putin, said: “We are patriots. We fight and we are fighting. No Wagner fighter intends to consider himself guilty and turn himself in at the request of the head of state or the FSB.”
